Pub quiz buffs and fruit machine fans look set to have to make space for a new pub regular – the online gambler.

Internet service provider Tiscali plans to introduce 90,000 broadband internet terminals across British pubs that are linked to a central server which can easily adapt games and difficulty.

According to the vnunet report, the new terminals will have a library of music CDs along with gambling games that can change their difficulty level depending on how much the machine is paying out.
